We took advantage of a warmish Friday morning and went for a stroll up the back track.

Ellie was wanting to lead but as this was a leash adventure walk with perhaps a swim to close she had to settle for human pace. This was not always to her liking!

The back track is an old road and climbs steadily most of the way. We walked half an hour in and turned at an open section overlooking some farm and forest. Ellie posed beautifully for this shot:

We then headed back the way we had come. The track has several stream crossings and she was eager to get to wherever we we going. She may be able to go off leash on similar walks in the future but it is still early days and never here as there is possum poison laid.

Presently she is zoned out on the floor asleep. Might take a short nap myself!
