There were thunderstorms around so it does look like a bit of a twister…… hopefully it never reached ground level….. Amazing photo Tom!
Tom, this evening on TV1 weather Jim Hickey showed two photos from the Manawatu of similar cloud. He said they were of a funnel cloud- and when this reaches all the way down to the ground is when it becomes a tornado.
