What follows is a set of pictures of our first trip to the beach with Ellie. She loved it and when it was time to leave was reluctant to get into the car.

She made at least 50 trips into the surf to retrieve the stick. 50! Often she has been hesitant to give up the stick but today at times she was very willing to mouth the stick to us and then zone in for the next throw. The energy level did not abate and an hour had passed and we were still throwing the stick. An hour of stick throwing – I need to go to the gym.

Now she is resting on the floor after a snack. What a great life she has!
