Was driving today and stopped at a red light. To my left the pedestrian sound trilled and the green walk light flashed. I started to go then realised I wasn’t walking? The car only travelled a metre or so.
Is this just me or do others do this?
I think we’ll call it a case of dralking – driving but wanting to walk?
As a teen I used to cycle out of my drive to turn right on to a 3 lane Rd. I’d ride to the centre line when the lane on my side was free, then balance there till the other side cleared before moving all the way across two lanes and riding off.
Following that cycling habit I once tried the same manoeuvre in my first car, filled with passengers. Not so easy to stay out of people’s way!
Nice to find your blog Tom.
